According to the FDA, walnuts

DID YOU KNOW?

Human papillomavirus (HPV) Vaccine
With many recent television advertisements, the HPV vaccine has recently been big news. The aim of the vaccine being to reduce the incidence of cervical cancer - a relief to many women! So you can imagine there is a large interested audience in this free vaccination program.
But wait! before we rush out and grab our freebie, should we not first explore the nature of our gift - how is it going to protect us?. What is the link between cancer and HPV?
Well cervical cancer is
characterized by the presence of abnormal, malignant cells in the cervix. The
cervix forms the bottom part of a woman’s uterus, connecting it to the vagina.
In the body, healthy cells divide and grow in a regulated manner. Healthy new
cells replace aging, dying cells. Cancer cells, however, continue to divide in
an unregulated manner until they form a mass called a tumour. Tumours may remain
within the cervix or can spread to surrounding tissue, as well as to organs and
other bodily regions. Symptoms of cervical cancer typically appear only when the
cancer begins to invade nearby tissue, such as the vagina. When this occurs, the
most common symptom is irregular vaginal bleeding.
The HPV virus is often cited as being a risk factor for cervical cancer. Genital HPV is passed by skin-to-skin and genital contact, primarily during vaginal and anal intercourse. It might also be possible to pass it during oral sex. There are over 100 types of HPV, around 30 of which are sexually transmitted. At least 50 percent of sexually active men and women get genital HPV at some time in their lives. Most people are unaware they have it as the symptoms are usually flat and invisible growths. HPV usually clears on its own. If it does not clear it is usually down to the individual’s state of health being low. Approximately 10 of the 30 identified genital HPV types can lead, in rare cases, to development of cervical cancer. Most HPV infections do not progress to cervical cancer.
It is not directly because of the virus that a woman may contract cervical cancer; cancer is more about an individual’s susceptibility. If someone is healthy they will be able to over come the virus, and it will not develop further. If someone has an impaired immune system (say allergies, ME, etc), their body's defences will not necessarily be strong.
There are two trains of thought about the protection of ourselves against micro organisms (for example HPV). The first we are all familiar with is vaccination. If there is a micro-organism related condition we are afraid of that is causing death, we thank the amazing work of Pasteur and Jenner and vaccinate. Vaccination believes we should kill the germ and keep away from it to avoid infection.
The other train of thought lies with the evolutionist theory - the work of Bechamp. He believed that microbes changed according to their soil. If the soil is healthy then the body is well, if the soil is toxic then there will be susceptibility to disease. If we are susceptible to disease we need to correct the imbalance of our soil. (Our soil is our living, eating physical and emotional habits).
There are many risks associated with HPV vaccination, (if you have a low immune system, such as allergies etc your risk appears to be higher), some are as serious as death, but I won't dwell on these here (please see www.infomedparent.co.uk, it costs £15 a year for newsletters - their work is invaluable).
There are risks of not vaccinating. You have to admit responsibility for your health. But on a positive note, did you know that in their own environment the Hunza and the Eskimos do not get cancer? Yet put them in the west and they are just as likely to contract it as the next person. One of their secrets is their diet. Both of these cultures eat a rich amount of B17 (in fact over 200 times more than Americans!). In its primary source it is in fruit seeds, grasses, maize, sorghum, millet, cassava, linseed and apricot kernels there are many more. The Eskimos eat it as a secondary source, via the Caribou who have a B17 rich intake.
There are other factors to consider if wishing to avoid cancer, avoid sugar refined foods as cancer loves sugar, get plenty of clean fresh air (cancer is not keen on that) get plenty of regular exercise that is right for us, live a fulfilling life by being true to ourselves.
Cancer is also fed by oestrogens, so avoiding artificial oestrogens in the diet is a good idea. These can be found in our drinking water (so a good quality water system is in order). Why? Because the synthetic hormone therapies used by women are excreted in the urine, and then contaminate our water system. Many plastics also release a synthetic form of oestrogen; so much of our packaged food also has a level of oestrogen present.
So to avoid our future female generations having cancer we can administer the HPV vaccination before they have become sexually active; or we can take responsibility for ourselves. Eat real organic raw food, remove sugar from our diets, avoid plastics and artificial oestrogens, be true to ourselves and those around us, live our life, and make sure we include foods rich in B17 in our diet.

I came to raw food not by a thought out choice, but from an urgent need to live and move freely. At 21 whilst studying to be an accountant, purchasing my first home, dreaming up the car I would love to own and working in a new post I had just been promoted too - I became very arthritic - I had rheumatoid arthritis. In a space of several weeks I went from being able to run up and down the stairs at work (and there were several flights) to being bent double, thinking a wheel chair would be a comfortable option.
Why me? That was a question I recall asking out loud. Well the answers just came in - I had asked for help and called my destiny - what a change that made. The raw journey found me. I went from a rebellious left home and eat want I want diet to living on salads with baked potatoes, fruit and seeds and sprouts. I coped but by the end of day 3 I was begging for a burger. Boy did it taste good - yuk - I can still remember how sick I felt - never eaten one since! That was nearly 20 years ago (oops - hope you can’t add up!)
That burger made me realize how much better I felt on a changed diet. Within three weeks (and that was how long I had to my wedding day - forgot to mention that one!) I lost about 1 ½ stone. I had put on a stone just from the fluid and swellings - the rest was excess weight I had always carried. My dress had yet another alteration the night before - and I walked proudly down the isle.
I did qualify as an accountant, I did get more promotions. What I also did was invest my pay rises in my new found passion. Whilst on my journey I had discovered homeopathy. It was amazing, clearing ailments that arose as I detoxed, fixing behaviour patterns that just seemed stuck, family health traits - so many things and yet so simple. I was hooked and passionate - I wanted to learn law - natural law. So I trained as a Homeopath with the College of Homeopathy, London, UK. Now - I have great health, I run and cycle, have two fantastic children and a simple life - I love it.
I left my post as an accountant in 2000 - the year I gave birth to my first baby. (Our babies are about new beginnings). I have never looked back. Why me - because I believe to truly want to help someone else heal, you have to know how to walk the path.
Since having my children I have seen the need to help parents make informed decisions about their children’s health. In addition to treating grandparents, parents and children I also run workshops to help empower parents about vaccination and the nutrition that helps against disease. I am passionate to help our future generations be vibrant.

FAVORITE RECIPES
Dawn Waterhouse FCCA LCH RMANM RSHom
Most of the food I enjoy is very simple, I avoid sugary food - so my recipes are not artificially sweet. I do however enjoy sweet food, so I use fresh fruit!
Breakfast Protein Smoothie
This helps repair and regeneration.
1 tablespoon hemp protein powder (rich in omega oils for joints - and brain)
The core of 1 pineapple (this contains bromelain which helps digestion and is beneficial for most arthritic individuals)
1 banana
1 large handful of raspberries
1 large handful strawberries (dehulled)
1 large handful blueberries
Cinnamon to taste (this will help regulate your blood sugars)
Enough Water to blend to your desired consistency
This is a really filling breakfast - put all the ingredients together in a high speed blender and whiz. For an ice cream like texture use frozen berries. The pineapple makes it really sweet (if you do not have a high speed blender, just use pineapple flesh).
Lemon Balm Tea
Lemon Balm is a member of the mint family and makes a lovely sweet soothing tea. It can help promote sleep, reduce stress and relieve anxiety. It can also ease pain, help digestion and provide relief from indigestion. It is a great plant for your garden. I grow mine in a pot to contain it.
Put 3 or 4 leaves in a small coffee herb tea pot for 1, pour on water just off the boil and allow to steep for 5 minutes. Strain if needed, and enjoy. If you are transitioning from regular tea, you may want to sweeten - but why ruin natures perfect lemon tea!
Alternatively - if you haven’t got a tea pot, just put the leaves in the mug and poor the water on. Just watch out for the leaves at the bottom
