IN THE NEWS
Greatest Health Risk Isn’t Cancer or Heart Disease; It’s Lack of Exercise
(NaturalNews) We are constantly bombarded with gloom and doom news stories
warning us that heart disease is America's number one killer, followed closely
by cancer. What's more, there's a worldwide epidemic of diabetes and fear
mongers are also warning...
“WARNING: SWINE FLU SHOT LINKED TO KILLER NERVE DISEASE” A warning that the swine flu vaccine has been linked to a deadly nerve disease has been sent by the UK Government to senior neurologists in a confidential letter. Sources: The Daily Mail August 15, 2009

Thank you all for your support of the Health Revolution Petition! (www.HealthRevolutionPetition.org) Signatures have now exceeded 26,000. Please spread the word, as we need 100,000 signatures to take this to Washington D.C. and make an impact regarding the health care reform debate.

INFO FROM OUR ONLINE RAW COURSE
The following is from our online raw certification course.
Learn more about the course at http://www.therawvegannetwork.com/course.htm
Without working out or having an active
lifestyle, the raw diet or any diet is not going to work.
The two main components of health are diet and exercise.
One without the other is better than nothing, but will not result in the kind of
long term good health that is our birthright.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Our bodies are created to move. It requires water, food, rest and exercise. When you don’t exercise, your body will get to the point where it can’t exercise because it is broken down with degenerative diseases such as cancer, diabetes and heart disease.
Exercise prevents cancer. Studies show that approximately 1/3 of cancer deaths can be linked to diet and a sedentary lifestyle (PreventDisease.com “More evidence that exercise Prevents cancer,” July 2004) In 2005 , the National Cancer Institute reported that “physical activity at work or during leisure time is linked to a 50 percent lower risk of getting colon cancer. (National Cancer Institute, “Cancer Trends Progress Report-2005 Update”) In a study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association in September 2003, found women who engaged in the equivalent of brisk walking for about 1-2 hours a week decreased their risk of breast cancer by 18%.
Exercise may help prevent diabetes and help control blood sugar in diabetics. Exercise prevents sugar from accumulate in the blood stream by helping muscles to take up glucose from the bloodstream and use it for energy,. Exercise improves the body’s ability to use insulin.
Exercise prevents heart attacks and heart disease. An inactive person’s heart works harder than an active person’s heart. An inactive person’s heart beats 80 times or more per minute (because it is not conditioned and less efficient); while an active person’s heart beats 60- 70 times or less per minute. Our hearts feed themselves oxygen between beats, so the longer the pause, the more blood flow. As the heart grows stronger it beats fewer times, so the heart is at rest more often. Study after study shows that moderate exercise is possibly the most important deterrent of heart related problems. Aerobic exercise lowers blood triglyceride levels, lowers bad (LDL) cholesterol raises good (HDL) cholesterol and may prevent blood clots.

Julie Soderblom NCMT -
Certified Living on Raw
Food Chef & Instructor - Certified Lifestyle
Coach - Certified Lifestyle Specialist
My passion is to educate and empower all of you. To help you learn and feel the
BEST that you can be by eating a healthy raw food diet.
I have studied and certified under raw food expert Alissa Cohen as a” Living on
Live Food" Chef & Instructor
And recently completed and certified as a Certified Raw Chef, Certified
Lifestyle Coach, and a Certified Raw Nutrition Specialist through the Ekaya
Institute of Living Foods (www.TheRawvegannetwork.com).
I am also a certified massage therapist and reiki master and have been in
practice for the past
12 years. I am a wife a mother of three sons, a beautiful daughter-in-law
and step daughter .I have two beautiful grandchildren, three dogs and one wise
old cat now 19 years old named Queen Lizzy
My raw food journey really began About 6 years ago when I noticed a shift in the
types of clients that were coming into my practice. I began noticing that many
were young 30 year olds with RARE stage 4 cancers or other chronic types of
illnesses.
So, I began shifting in what I offered and began teaching more about healthy
eating. And I saw significant changes for many clients. I myself began eating at
a raw food cafe. At first it was
just lunch once a week. And I'll never forget that first lunch .I couldn't
believe the energy my body had after that meal. It was immediate. I felt like
every cell in my body all of a sudden woke up .I was BURSTING with ENERGY for
the first time. And so one day became twice a week and then three times a week,
until I finally decided to get certified as a raw chef.
And then reality hit home when our oldest son who was 27 yrs old at the time
lost his wife at the time to a very rare aggressive form of cancer. For me that
was the real turning point.
You see I really do believe YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT.
Fruits & Vegetables are natures pharmacy....It's that simple.
So now I am on a mission to spread the word, to encourage, teach and guide
others.
As a raw chef I offer both private and group classes. I give health lectures to
organization and businesses both small and large.
I also offer my services as a Private Chef. That’s right; I will come to your
home and prepare an
eloquent meal for you (as long as you are within driving distance). And lastly I
have
created The 90 Day Transitioning to a Raw Lifestyle Diet. This program is
designed to guide you every step of the way.
It is with the up most passion that I offer to you all that I am. With joy and
love. May you feel
inspired and gain the knowledge that you need to transform your life as a
shining star.
